Join us for an inspiring speaker series event featuring Winnie Guess Perdue, an elder of the Cherokee Nation and a trailblazer in the arts and athletics. A direct descendant of Sequoyah, Perdue is an accomplished ballerina, fancy dancer, artist, and athlete. She is one of the few women to master the traditional Hoop Dance and Eagle Dance and has performed at powwows and on national television. Her accolades include the Moscelyn Larkin Greater Tulsa Lifetime of Cultural Achievement Award and the Oral Roberts University Lifetime of Global Achievement Award. Additionally, Perdue has been featured in the PBS documentary “Searching for Sequoyah” and the film “Killers of the Flower Moon.”
